JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The annual Georgia-Florida college football game is Saturday, and fans at Jacksonville's 'RV City' have already set up their tailgating sections.
Fans have been waiting as early as Sunday for RV City to open near EverBank Stadium's Lot E. Before the Bulldogs and Gators face off on the gridiron, here's what you need to know leading up to one of college football's oldest rivalries.
Fans are asked to show up early because parking lots at the stadium open at 8 a.m., and gates open at 1:30 p.m. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office suggests showing up five hours ahead of time if wanting to watch the kickoff, which is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. Fans and visitors should also expect police officers, both undercover and uniformed, to ensure public safety.
Public transportation to the game is available. The Jacksonville Transportation Authority is offering shuttle rides in case one does not have prepaid parking.
Officials mentioned how admissions are mobile, meaning gameday tickets should be accessible by phone. Plus, they are enforcing a clear bag policy. As for RV City, the waitlist is full.
