FWC looking for nuisance alligator trappers in Duval

Wildlife Trapper Jimmy English ties up a ten-foot and approximately 350-pound alligator on Forest Hills Dr. Thursday, May 14, 2009. The gator is too large and dangerous to be released in local waters so English will release the gator tomorrow in Holly Shelter Game Reserve or the Green Swamp. The gator took longer than normal to trap because it was lying on the asphalt and had to be moved to the grass to avoid hurting the gator. This is the sixth gator that English has trapped this year. In 2008 English trapped approximately 35 gators and the total last year was a little less. Staff Photo By Matt Born/Wilmington Star-News.
