MIDDLEBURG, Fla. — A man is dead and a driver critically injured after a three-vehicle crash in Clay County Friday afternoon, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
A SUV driven by a Keystone Heights woman, with a seven-year-old on board, was traveling northbound on County Road 215 and crossed over into the southbound travel lane, a crash report said. It collided "nearly head-on" with a pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old Raiford man heading southbound. The report said another SUV traveling behind the truck was struck by the other SUV also.
The Raiford man was pronounced dead at the scene. The report said he was not wearing a seatbelt.
The Keystone Heights woman suffered critical injuries and the child received minor injuries, troopers said.
