PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Putnam County Fire Rescue reported a fire at the Georgia Pacific Paper Mill in Palatka Wednesday night.
PCFR posted on Facebook around 9 p.m. that it had several units responding to the scene.
The fire was inside of a digester, which is a very large container that converts wood chips into a pulp.
Georgia Pacific is located at 215 County Road 216.
The factory makes paper products such as paper towels, bath tissue, grocery bags and more.
