Fiery motorcycle crash in St. Augustine leaves 20-year-old man dead

FHP was dispatched to the scene at US-1 and Moses Creek Boulevard at around 9 p.m. Sunday night, according to FHP's website.

All southbound lanes on US-1 in St. Augustine have reopened after a deadly motorcycle crash on Sunday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers say that Brandon Carter of St. Augustine was killed in a fiery crash involving a Jeep Wrangler around 9 p.m.

FHP says that the Jeep was traveling northbound in the left turn lane attempting to make a U-turn to head south near the intersection of US-1 and Moses Creek Blvd. As the Jeep was making its turn, a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling southbound on US-1 struck the Jeep and caught on fire. 

Carter was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

The two occupants of the Jeep Wrangler were transported to Flagler Hospital with non life-threatening injuries
