ORANGE PARK, Fla. — A 15-year-old bicyclist sustained serious injuries after a crash near Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park Thursday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Around 6:54 a.m. Thursday, FHP said a red Jaguar was traveling in the left lane of southbound Blanding Boulevard approaching the intersection of Knight Boxx Road and Oak Lane.
The bicyclist was attempting to cross Blanding Boulevard as the vehicle proceeded through the intersection and struck the bicyclist, the agency said. The teen was ejected from the bicycle. The vehicle's driver, who was not injured in the crash, stopped to render aid, FHP said.
The teen was taken to Orange Park Medical Center.
