JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — No injuries were reported after a school bus with two young kids aboard got into a crash with a semi-truck on a Jacksonville road Tuesday morning, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
FHP says at 9 a.m., the bus which was driven by a 33-year-old man, and the semi-truck which was driven by a 72-year-old man, were both traveling eastbound on State Road 202 (J. Turner Butler Boulevard), west of Interstate 95.
FHP's crash report states the bus sideswiped the semi-truck when it "attempted to change lanes from the left to the right," as the front of the semi-truck collided with the right side of the bus.
"No injuries resulted from the collision," the report states.
The report further mentions that both drivers were not injured in the crash. A 67-year-old woman, a 4-year-old girl and a 1-year-old boy who were all passengers in the bus, did not suffer any injuries as well, according to troopers. The semi-truck did not have any passengers inside at the time of the accident, the report shows.
