The Florida Highway Patrol crash report states the woman was struck by a semi-truck and sedan after she stepped out of her vehicle parked on the right shoulder.

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A New York woman died in a St. Johns County crash on Interstate 95 Sunday night, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

At 10:21 p.m., FHP says a 47-year-old Miami man was driving a semi-truck southbound in the outside lane on I-95 near mile marker 299. While doing so, the New York woman who was 26 years old, was standing outside a sedan that was parked on the right shoulder of I-95.

The FHP crash report states the semi-truck then struck the woman, as she was stood in the "right travel lane."

Another sedan which was driven by a 44-year-old Kissimmee woman and was traveling behind the semi-truck, struck the woman, too, according to troopers.

The report also notes that the New York woman's sedan was previously involved in a separate crash. She exited her vehicle to converse with the other driver in the separate crash when she "was struck by the secondary collision," the report states.

FHP did not release the identity of those involved in the crash.
