JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A 20-year-old man was killed when he drove into the scene of a crash on the First Coast Expressway (State Road 23) Thursday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 6:29 p.m.
A pickup truck and a sedan were parked within the coned-off area. The victim drove his car through the scene and hit the back of the pickup truck. The pickup truck then struck the back of the sedan.
The 20-year-old, who was from Jacksonville, was pronounced dead on scene.
No one was inside of the pickup truck. The driver of the sedan had minor injuries.
