BAKER COUNTY, Fla. — A Sanderson 17-year-old boy died Thursday morning after being ejected from his car in a Baker County crash, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

At approximately 2 a.m., FHP says the teen was driving east on Fred Harvey Road in a gray Mazda sedan.

The FHP crash report states the sedan "ran off the roadway to the right," causing it to rotate and overturn, but does not say what caused the vehicle to veer.

As the sedan overturned, the teen was ejected from it, according to FHP. The vehicle then struck a tree.

FHP says the teen was pronounced dead at the scene.

The report does not mention any other vehicles involved in the crash nor other people in the car along with the teen; FHP did not release the identity of the boy either.
