Family meeting with Brunswick district attorney 2 months after death of 8-year-old Noah Bush

The family says it has not received any answers from police about Noah's death. In May, Noah was found dead in a construction pit in Jesup.

JESUP, Ga. — A Southeast Georgia family is demanding answers almost two months after the death of 8-year-old Noah Bush

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Noah was found in a construction pit back in May.

Wednesday, his family and their lawyer will meet with the Brunswick district attorney's office and hold a press conference with their lawyer regarding his death investigation.

There is no time set for the press conference Wednesday, but you can watch on this page when it's live.

“We are looking forward to meeting with District Attorney Higgins, who we have been in communication with during this process. It is our hope that after 55 days the family will finally find out what really happened to their beloved child. Justice requires accountability," Francys Johnson, an attorney representing the family, said.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office, Noah was reported missing on May 15 at 9 p.m.

Multiple agencies joined the search for Noah.

At around 12:30 a.m., a Glynn County K9 found child shoes near a body of water. The family confirmed the shoes were Noah's.

After finding the shoes, police then focused search in clay pits on Mill Creek Lane. The sheriff's office said dive and rescue teams and helicopters searched the area for hours.

At around 8 a.m., about 11 hours after Noah went missing, police say he was found in a pit of water.

Since Noah's death, the community has rallied behind his family demanding transparency about his death.

First Coast News is still waiting on a lot of answers as to what happened. We hope to learn more during Wednesday's press conference.
