KEYSTONE HEIGHTS, Fla. — Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook said on Facebook Thursday afternoon to expect a heavy police presence in Keystone Heights due to an "active volatile situation."
The investigation is ongoing in the 7200 block of Notre Dame Street.
At 1:15 p.m., Cook said in an update on her Facebook post, the situation is "under control." However, people who are in the "affected area," should shelter in place, according to Cook.
The sheriff's office then told First Coast News they received a report about someone being shot, as detectives later learned a gun was fired and that no one was shot nor taken to the hospital.
"Two people are in custody and detectives are sorting through the appropriate charges," the Clay County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
First Coast News will provide updates as soon as they are made available.
