Escaped juvenile offenders from Jacksonville have been captured

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office has captured all three of the juvenile offenders that escaped earlier this month.

Investigative leads led to the capture of all three offenders, according to JSO. They were found together shortly after 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24 in Southside off of Old Kings Rd.

All three suspects will be charged with escape and felony battery. They were booked back into jail at approximately 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The three boys escaped from a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facility off of Lannie Rd. on Sunday, June 18.

Local authorities were looking for 16-year-old Derek Browley, 16-year-old Luther Davis, and 15-year-old Justin Silva.

According to police, they were notified around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night that the three had escaped from a facility.

Police say they their escape was planned and they battered staff members, took keys, opened a secure door, and fled the facility.
