JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- This year's Episcopal School of Jacksonville's Eagle 5K will be held in memory of the school's slain former head, Dale Regan.
Meg Scheu Sacks, Director of Marketing for Episcopal School, said in a news release all of the proceeds for the race will go to the Dale Regan Memorial Fund.
The race will be timed, Sacks said, and there will be age group awards to keep the competitive spirit alive.
Runners and walkers are both encouraged to participate in the race which also has a one mile fun run for kids or people wishing to walk a shorter distance.
The 5K will take place Saturday, January 19 at 9 a.m. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race will be held on Episcopal's Munnerlyn campus located at 4455 Atlantic Blvd.
