A Duval County Public Schools Lieutenant was arrested on an out-of-state warrant Tuesday morning, according to DCPS.
A spokesperson with DCPS identified the lieutenant as Sean MacMaster, 45, who has charged as a fugitive stemming from a Michigan arrest warrant, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
The reason behind the warrant has not been disclosed.
Should MacMaster be released from custody, DCPS says he will not have any contact with students pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
“We have the highest expectations of professional and personal conduct for those who are charged with serving and protecting our students,” said School Police Director Micheal Edwards. “We are monitoring this investigation closely and will take appropriate action as the facts of the matter emerge.”
