Update: Crews say lifeguard saved child from drowning in Clay County

Crews say the incident happened near the 3900 block of Eagle Landing Parkway sometime before 6 p.m.

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — Crews with the Clay County Fire and Rescue Department tweeted Wednesday that they were responding to the scene of a reported drowning.

Crews say the incident happened near the 3900 block of Eagle Landing Parkway sometime before 6 p.m.

The Clay County Fire and Rescue Department says that a child who couldn't swim fell into a pool and a lifeguard was able to pull them out.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to be OK.
