JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A gun was found inside of a car parked at Englewood High School Tuesday, according to school officials.
In an announcement made to parents by phone, the principal said the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office went on campus and conducted a search of a student's vehicle due to an incident that originally happened off campus. JSO found a firearm inside the vehicle and confiscated it.
Three students were detained for questioning. Nobody was hurt.
"We greatly appreciate the swift action of our staff, JSO and school police, and the cooperation of the students," President Bravo said.
The investigation is ongoing.
