JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Criminal intent is no longer suspected in the shooting of a teenage boy in Jacksonville's Eastside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
A 16-year-old boy sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound when he was shot at 3130 Bridier Street at around 1:42 p.m., JSO said.
Police were initially searching for a white Nissan Altima believed to be connected to the shooting, but JSO has since called off the search.
Police said the investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
