ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. — A family's pets are safe after a fire broke out at a home in Atlantic Beach Thursday morning.
The Atlantic Beach Fire Department and the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to the scene after a neighbor called in the fire.
Crews rescued a dog and cat from the home. The homeowner was not home at the time of the fire and no one was injured during the incident.
Authorities have not released any information about what caused the fire.
