A Clay County man faces multiple charges of possession of child pornography following a joint investigation by county Sheriff’s Office detectives and federal authorities.
Freddie L. Schultz, 60, of Middleburg is charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He was arrested Friday morning and jailed in lieu of $50,030 bail, Clay County Sheriff’s Office records.
Schultz is accused of having hundreds of images of child sexual abuse, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
His arrest resulted from an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Crimes Against Children’s Unit and U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Investigators seized computers and other electronics during a search of his home on Glen Laurel Drive, law enforcement officials said.
