JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE- City officials released the following statement at 3:09 p.m. Wednesday

“We identified IT infrastructure configuration issues that caused the access challenges earlier today. The immediate issues have been resolved. All city websites and apps are back online, and 630-CITY is taking calls from citizens. Our team will continue monitoring the situation throughout the night, and we are looking at ways to ensure increased service redundancy and resilience going into the future.”

The city of Jacksonville is grappling with network interruptions Wednesday morning, though emergency systems are working, officials said.

There is no indication of a cyberattack or security breach, Mayor Donna Deegan wrote on X.

Residents may not be able to access http://jacksonville.gov, http://jaxready.com, calls to 630-CITY, JaxEPICS, or any city mobile apps, Deegan said on X.

The city has contingency plans so the interruptions do not affect emergency responses; 911 systems are working.

"Our team is actively monitoring the situation, and we have narrowed down the issue to a handful of internet service providers," Deegan wrote. "We will continue to investigate to ensure the integrity of our city systems and keep the public informed of the resolution."
