TOLEDO, Ohio — Cinemark, one of the largest and most influential movie theater companies, invites movie fans to celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary from Aug. 12-18. With the theme, “Big in ‘84” retro series, moviegoers can see some of the biggest films from 1984 back on the big screen.
These films include classics like "Footloose," "Ghostbusters" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Even the pricing is taking a ride in the time machine, with tickets just $5.

The schedule is as follows:
- August 12 – "The Karate Kid"
- August 13 – "The Terminator"
- August 14 – "Gremlins"
- August 15 – "Purple Rain"
- August 16 – "Ghostbusters"
- August 17 – "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and "The Last Starfighter"
- August 18 – "Footloose" and "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom"
