JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Chad Mullen's 18-year-old daughter, Holli, is still grappling with her father’s death, but she’s feeling a sense of relief knowing the women who could be responsible for her father’s murder are behind bars.
“I've definitely been in shock. I mean I've been dealing with this since September,” said Holli Mullen.
The last couple of months, Holli has been experiencing a whirlwind of emotions.
“It’s definitely been a lot for me to process,” she said.
The 18-year-old was one of the last people to speak to her dad before his disappearance on September 15.
Six weeks later, she grieved the death of her father after his body was found buried on a farm in Hastings.
Now today, a week after his body was found, the Putnam county sheriff office is charging his ex-girlfriend Caylen Deller with first degree murder and Tina Lee-Ellis is being charged for being an accomplice.
“As of right now I'm very relieved that they got her. I mean that’s what we wanted this whole time,” said Mullen.
Mullen’s daughter was familiar with Deller, and said her involvement comes as no shock. "I knew from the second I seen his phone ping at her stables that she was involved in some type of way, she's definitely capable of hurting, murdering somebody. It’s sick and she needs to get locked up for a long time.”
The teen now left without a father wants Deller to know how she feels, and to reap the consequences.
“I'm going to continue to live the life my dad would want me to live, and I want to make it known who she took away from so many people. This guy was a father, brother and uncle, everybody loved him and I just want to make it known who she took away and what she did. I just hope Caylen gets what she deserves," she said, "I hope whoever else is involved in this gets what they deserve."
