The CAP String Orchestra Quartet joins Good Morning Jacksonville.

Four students from Cathedral Arts Project joined Good Morning Jacksonville to describe recently being on the national stage.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Members of the Cathedral Arts Project String Orchestra Quartet were joined by two teaching fellows from the nonprofit as guests on Good Morning Jacksonville Saturday morning to describe opportunities for students.

The students, Jovan Micic, Deiloy Thomas, N'Diyah Bolte and Leo Franklin are all students at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and performed Telemann Sinfonia, Paraphrase from Trio in A Minor by G.P. Telemann live during Good Morning Jacksonville.

Over the summer the CAP String Orchestra Quartet was awarded second prize in the ensemble category at the Crescendo International Music Competition (CIC), a youth music nonprofit that aims to inspire individuals to pursue their passion for music. As prize winners, the students were invited to perform at Harvard University’s John Knowles Paine Concert Hall.

The Cathedral Arts Project has a wide variety of artistic programs for school age children in Jacksonville ranging from music, dance, theater and painting. For more information on CAP, visit their website.
