JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Multiple people were injured on Saturday afternoon after a car plowed into a home in the Grand Park area, authorities said.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue crews responded to the crash at 25th Street West and Marland Street.
Medical attention from the Red Cross was requested for four people involved in the incident, according to officials. Witnesses at the scene said at least one person was taken to the hospital for further treatment.
“You know you look at movies on tv and hear the sound of crashes but to actually hear one, its not like what you hear on movies and on tv," said Cherry Richardson a woman who lives in the home.
Richardson and her son were in the house at the time of the incident and her daughter in law was in front of the house suffering the worst injuries.
“She has a broken nose and broken bones in her forehead. When I came to the door she was laying on the ground," said Richardson.
Neighbors say moments before the crash. They saw the passengers in an altercation.
Richardson says they plan on getting the house repaired and she’s hoping people would drive slower in the neighborhood.
