By the numbers: Here's how big, fast, expensive Shad Khan's new Kismet megayacht is

The cost of the yacht is equivalent to 90,000 season tickets for the Jacksonville Jaguars at an average cost of $500 per seat per game.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan docked his newest megayacht, “Kismet,” over the weekend in Jacksonville

While this is Khan’s fourth yacht and third megayacht, this one is larger and more luxurious than his previous lavish cruisers. With such features as three pools across six decks; a sauna and cryotherapy chamber; a basketball court and pickleball court; and a helipad, there is plenty to be said to try to paint a picture of the megayacht. Aside from its grandeur, though, we wanted to contextualize what something of this size, speed and cost might actually look like — and we used players from the Jacksonville Jaguars to do it:

How much does Shad Khan's yacht cost?

It is estimated to have a $360 million price tag. With Trevor Lawrence’s five-year contract earning him $275 million, he is making $55 million per year, or $3.2 million per game. It would take Lawrence 113 games — rounded up from 112.5 — to earn enough money to buy the yacht. This would bring his total games played up to 172 and put him over the record of most games played as starting quarterback for the Jaguars — a record currently held by Mark Brunell with 120 games from 1995 to 2003.

The cost of the yacht would also be equivalent to 90,000 season tickets for the Jaguars at an average cost of $500 per seat per game.

How long is Shad Khan's yacht?

It is 400 feet long. Logan Cooke has an average punt of 49.8 yards, or 149.4 feet. It would take Cooke three average punts to clear a football from one end of the yacht to the other. Brian Thomas Jr. had the fastest ball-carrier speed this season at 22.15 miles per hour, meaning he could run the ball from one end of the “Kismet” to the other in 12.31 seconds — provided there were no obstacles.

How wide is Shad Khan's yacht?

It is 58 feet wide. Jaguars backup quarterback Mac Jones averaged of 5 yards per pass attempt in Sunday's loss to the Vikings. It would take Mac Jones 12 pass attempts — rounded up from 11.6 — to throw the width of the yacht. (It would also take him 80 pass attempts to throw the length of the “Kismet,” but let’s not talk about that.) Alternatively: Trevor Lawrence is 6 feet and 6 inches tall, which means you’d have to lay 8.7 Trevor Lawrences down head-to-foot to cover the width of the yacht.

How much does Shad Khan's yacht weigh?

It weighs 5,500 tons, or 11 million pounds. The starting offensive line for the Jaguars is Walker Little, Ezra Cleveland, Mitch Morse, Brandon Scherff and Anton Harrison. These players each weigh, respectively, 324 pounds, 311 pounds, 304 pounds, 315 pounds and 315 pounds. This brings the grand total of their weight to 1,569 pounds, or 0.78 tons. It would take 7,051 copies of this lineup to weigh as much as “Kismet.” The entire active team of 53 players weighs approximately 13,050 pounds combined, or 6.53 tons, and would need to be copied only 842 times to meet that same weight.

How fast is Shad Khan's yacht?

Top speed is 18 knots, or 20.71 miles per hour — making it as fast as Jaguars running back Tank Bigsby, whose top speed was recorded at 20.93 miles per hour.
