JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Before he takes the stage at the Prime Osborn Convention Center for the Jacksonville Home & Patio Show, HGTV's Brian Patrick Flynn joined Rich Donnelly for a conversation about his inspirations for the interior design of the HGTV Dream Home on Anastasia Island as well as design tips for homeowners looking to renovate their own homes.
The Jacksonville Home + Patio Show returns to the Prime Osborn Convention Center from March 1-3 with a roster of special speakers and an agenda specifically curated to meet the needs of home-improvement hungry residents in North Florida.
The show features a special guest appearance from interior designer Brian Patrick Flynn of HGTV’s Dream Home. Fans of the hugely popular HGTV hit show and national contest know him from hosting and for the bright, comfortable and original spaces he designs on the show, as well as HGTV’s Urban Oasis and Magnolia Network’s Mind For Design.
Before he was on TV, he was behind the scenes writing and producing for home renovation shows. This year’s Dream Home is located in the show’s backyard on St. Augustine’s Anastasia Island. Brian appears on the Fresh Ideas Stage on Saturday, March 2 at noon and 3 p.m.
The show’s jam-packed agenda takes guests from design to digging in the dirt with hourly workshops from the nonprofit edible plant nursery, Eat Your Yard Jax. Their mission is to educate children and adults on growing healthy food by providing demonstrations and resources to empower them to participate in urban agriculture.
In addition, the show features local home improvement experts on the Fresh Ideas Stage, The Home Depot Kids Workshop, Food Truck Rally (Friday and Sunday) and the latest home improvement products and trends.
On Saturday, the show congratulates Gate River Run participants with complimentary admission to the show when they sport their racing number.
Teacher Day is on Sunday. Show a valid work ID at the box office for free admission on Sunday only.
