FOLKSTON, Ga. — The body of a boater was found Monday after he was missing since Sunday, according to a report.
ABC/NBC affiliate WALB said Sonny Lewis from Berrien County was found dead in the Satilla River.
Lewis reportedly fell out of his boat after it was struck by another boater traveling fast, officials said.
Lewis' body was found upstream from where his boat was hit, according to Sgt. Damon Winters with the Department of Natural Resources.
Officials searched for Lewis until 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, stopping due to weather.
Lewis was found after the search resumed Monday at 7 a.m.
