JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man was found dead on a sidewalk off Arlington Expressway Wednesday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
An incident report states that officers responded to the intersection of Arlington Expressway and A. Phillip Randolph Boulevard in reference to a call for assistance.
Police said a man who was released from Duval County Jail early Wednesday came across the body on the sidewalk while walking home.
The man told officers the victim's body was found partially naked, so he used his jacket to cover the body. The man was able to wave someone down to call for help, the report states.
The victim has not been identified. This is an ongoing investigation.
