JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: The vestibule of Lorikeet Aviary at Jacksonville Zoo & Gardens burned down early Monday morning, according to a Facebook post from the zoo.
No animals were injured. They have all been moved to a new area.
A staff member discovered the aviary after it had already burned down.
The zoo is investigating the cause.
The aviary will remain closed until further notice, and the birds will not be on display.
