A suspicious package was found at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind on Friday according to the St. Augustine Police Department and St. John's County Sheriff's Office.
Police have since given the all-clear.
The St. Augustine Police Department says that a package was found sometime in the morning hours. SAPD called in the St. John's County Sheriff's Office to assist who later deemed the package to be a non-threat.
Although First Coast News was initially informed by police that the package was a backpack, the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind tells First Coast News that it was simply an unmarked package.
No evacuations were ever made and the safety of the students was never in question.
Campus operations have resumed as normal.
