CLAY COUNTY, Fla. — More than 70 dogs and cats were surrendered from a Middleburg home on Tuesday, according to a Clay County spokesperson.
The Clay County Animal Services, Clay County Division of Emergency Management, Clay County Sheriff's Office and several other agencies helped remove the animals to take them to the Clay County Fairgrounds in Green Cove Springs to undergo health evaluations.
Officials said after conducting the evaluations, all the animals are healthy, with some having minimal skin and ear issues.
Some animals will remain as surrenders with CCAS and will go up for adoption, with some going to local rescues for adoption.
The owner who surrendered the animals is not facing any criminal charges, according to CCSO.
