4 arrested in Nassau County for Stanley cup and Winn Dixie food 'heist,' sheriff's office says

The suspects had reportedly targeted multiple Winn-Dixie and Ace Hardware stores around Nassau County.

YULEE, Fla. — Four individuals were arrested in Nassau County for allegedly stealing 24 Stanley cups from an Ace Hardware and various expensive food items from Winn-Dixie, according to the sheriff's office.

The four arrested are 46-year-old Stacey Sullivan, 51-year-old Kaneki Hickson, 23 year-old Montavia Sullivan and 46-year-old Tracy Sullivan.  They were all charged with felony grand theft and conspiracy to commit retail theft.

Ace Hardware store clerks reported 24 stolen Stanley cups at their store on Miner Road Saturday. The employees said the four suspects entered the premises, took the cups off the shelves and hid them in their shirts and bags before fleeing in a car, according to the Nassau County Sheriff's Office.

An off-duty lieutenant reportedly heard a "Be On the Lookout" (BOLO) alert while driving and spotted the suspects' cars at the intersection of Arrigo Boulevard and State Road 200. The vehicle was followed and stopped in a Winn-Dixie parking lot where they were all arrested.

During the search of the suspects' vehicle, deputies found the Stanley cups in addition to a variety of expensive food items from Winn Dixie, including  crab meat, lobster tail, bacon, steak and champagne, the sheriff's office reported.

"It's clear these criminals had expensive taste, targeting luxury food items and popular merchandise across multiple stores in our county, however, I can assure you that champagne and lobster are not on the menu at Hotel Nassau County Jail,” Sheriff Leeper said.

The group had reportedly targeted multiple Winn-Dixie and Ace Hardware stores around Nassau County.

The total value of merchandise and food stolen was around $5,000, deputies determined.
