ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — A 27-year-old man is dead after a pedestrian-related crash on U.S. 1 Sunday morning in St. Johns County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
A crash report said an SUV was traveling southbound on U.S. 1 just south of Shore Drive around 12:12 a.m., when the victim entered the road directly into the path of the vehicle.
Due to this collision, the report said, the victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Flagler Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
