ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — An adult and a child were airlifted to the hospital Friday after a "major accident" in St. Johns County.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue said the crash happened at State Road 13 and Swamp Oak Trail. An image released on their social media page shows first responders attending to an area near an overturned dump truck.
Fire rescue crews said the adult and child were transported by an ambulance helicopter to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
Swamp Oak Trail is a short dead end road near the St. Johns River south of the Fruit Cove area and almost directly west of Bartram Trail High School.
