DIXIE COUNTY, Fla. — A teenage boy is dead following a Utility Terrain Vehicle crash in Dixie County on Monday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say a UTV was traveling southeast on SE 163rd Street around 4:42 p.m., which is a dirt road.
FHP says the vehicle entered standing water which resulted in a loss of control. Troopers say a 14-year-old boy was ejected and died at the scene due to injuries sustained.
The 50-year-old driver suffered minor injuries, a crash report says.
