'Good Morning Jacksonville' reporter Lisa Robbins

Lisa Robbins joined Good Morning Jacksonville as a reporter in June 2014.

A Clay County native, Lisa is thrilled to be living 'back home' on the First Coast!

Lisa graduated from Fleming Island High School in 2006 and the University of Central Florida in 2010. There, she received her bachelors degree in broadcast journalism and minor in political science.

Not one to shy away from an adventure, Lisa accepted her first reporting job more than 700 miles away at WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, W. Va. In addition to reporting, she gained weather experience and filled in for the meteorologists when they were off. Her next adventure brought her to Charleston, W. Va., where she worked as a morning reporter for WOWK-TV. Lisa fell in love with the early morning hours and knew her heart belonged in morning television news.

Lisa covered several high-profiled stories during her time in the Tri-State area, including the June 2012 derecho and subsequent storms that left three people dead and more than 680,000 customers without electricity across West Virginia. She also spent several months on the front lines covering the 2014 Elk River chemical spill that contaminated drinking water for 300,000 people living in and around the Charleston area.

Lisa spent four winters living in the Tri-State area before she realized she missed the beach. She knew it was time to come home to the First Coast when a reporter position opened up with Good Morning Jacksonville. She loves being close to her family and friends who she missed so much during her time away.

In her spare time, you can find Lisa at the beach, trying a new restaurant in town, or on the hunt for a great pair of shoes!
