University Christian School in the San Souci area is making parents aware of the possibility of police presence on campus Monday after threatening comments were reportedly made.
Its administrative team was made aware of threatening comments made by a former student toward the school on Sunday.
School officials say that open communication from their students was key in being able to help connect with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and allow them to fully investigate.
The school said in a statement:
"JSO has resolved the matter and has been in continuous communication with us. They will continue to look into the situation surrounding this young person and the comments that were made. It is possible that you will see JSO presence on campus at various times throughout the day tomorrow.
We will operate with normal daily procedures tomorrow. If any changes should occur or should we need to revise our operations we will be in contact with you immediately. Thank you for your partnership with UCS."
