Outgoing 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney Angela Corey was tapped Tuesday by Clay County Sheriff-elect Darryl Daniels to serve as his general counsel.
Corey was beaten by fellow Republican Melissa Nelson back in August, 64 percent to 26 percent.
According to a release from the Clay County Sheriff's Office, Corey will train the staff on a variety of issues such as constitutional law, probable cause and proper execution of legal search warrants.
She will be on Daniels's staff until April 2017.
