Foul play is suspected after a man was found dead in the road in a Moncrief neighborhood on Friday morning, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Police responded to a call about an unresponsive victim around 6 a.m. in the 5600 block of Doeboy Street. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the roadway with injuries, police said. JSO says his injuries are not known at this time.
Upon investigating, police learned that there were gunshots heard around midnight in the same area. At this time, however, they don't know if the gunshots were related to this incident.
