The National Weather Service Jacksonville has issued a flood warning for Pierce County, Ga. due to a potential dam failure. It has been extended until 11:45 a.m.
The potential dam failure is in Southern Pierce County along the Lakeview Country Club lake. It has the potential to cause flash flooding downstream.
Areas impacted by the flooding would be Highway 121, south of Blackshear, between Azalea St. and Whispering Pine Trail.
Property along Lakeview Dr. and Edgewood Circle will also be threatened by flood waters, officials say.
