This teacher from Texas roasted Jake Paul after he posted a video bashing his former teachers for not teaching him anything "useful."
M.A. Double, Matt Preston's rapper name and social media handle, is a special education inclusion teacher, according to Buzzfeed. When he saw Paul's rap criticizing teachers for feeding him useless information all throughout school, Preston had to clap back.
With lines like:
"I make about 35K a year son," In response to Paul stating he's a millionaire despite learning, apparently nothing.
Preston goes on:
"My students know I got they back so don't be dissin' me because your teacher was whack ... don't throw the baby out with the bath just because you had a bad experience in math ... just because you show up on their scene, don't belittle my influence and ability to intervene because I don't see Jake Paul in the hallways, I don't see him in the stands at their ball games, but I am here like everyday bro..."
You should really listen to the whole thing. It's as cringe-worthy as it is genius and poignant.
Teachers get a lot of flack but work hard and help nurture children into fully functioning adults. Except, it seems, for people like Jake Paul who find it appropriate to turn their nose up at hard-working teachers and think "flexing" on social media is a sufficient career. I'm not linking his video because he doesn't need more views, you can find it on your own if you want.
But Preston's response video is all you really need to see, it's amazing. Shout out to creative and awesome teachers like Preston who care about their jobs and their students. Where would we be without you?
