ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla.- A long-time presence in the St. Johns County School District will lead the county's schools moving forward. Tim Forson, who recently retired after 36 years working for the district, was chosen in a unanimous vote of the school board to become the county's new superintendent of schools Tuesday.
Forson had most recently served as Deputy Superintendent of Operations before retiring earlier this year.
Forson was chosen over Vickie Cartwright, a senior director of the Orange County, FL school district.
