ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Within the next few weeks, the St. Johns County School District will name a new leader.
Current superintendent Tim Forson announced his retirement during a school board workshop last week.
Forson's last day as superintendent is set for June 30 of next year.
The school board was set to talk about the process during tonight's meeting, but the item was not brought up during discussions.
According to the agenda, the school board wants to contract the Florida School Boards Association to manage the search process.
The budget to find a new superintendent is set at $35,000 plus travel expenses.
A district spokesperson tells us the board will discuss next steps at another workshop on December 10.
