JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The school of the day is Twin Lakes Academy Middle School in Duval County!
Twin Lakes Academy Middle is home to 1,300 students in sixth through eighth grade from Beach Boulevard to Bartram Springs. The school is located on the Southside of Jacksonville on Baymeadows Road along Interstate 9A.
TLAM offers comprehensive and challenging curricula from challenging gifted courses to more supportive intensive courses in reading and math. Students who meet prerequisite classes have the opportunity to take up to four high school classes (Algebra I, Geometry, Biology and Spanish I) during their time at TLAM. According to the school's website, they have a state of the art STEM lab, 2D and 3D visual arts rooms, a comprehensive band and choral suite and three computer labs.
The school's vision statement is "every student is inspired and prepared for success in high school." Their mission statement is to "provide every student, in every classroom, every day with a safe, caring, engaging and challenging learning environment that promotes the rigorous and relevant educational experiences necessary to perform at or above grade level standards."
The Timberwolves are the school's mascots and their colors are teal, red and black.
