JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Thursday's school of the day is Jean Ribault Middle School in Duval County.
Jean Ribault Middle is home of the "Mighty Colts" and the school colors are navy blue and white.
Ribault Middle is an early high school magnet program, which allows students in sixth through eighth grade to earn high school credit in middle school, according to the school's website. Ribault is also an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) middle school, which means that the school promotes college readiness through the use or learning or instructional strategies.
The vision of Ribault is "all students are motivated to capitalize on every learning opportunity that will prepare them for college or career readiness." The mission is "to provide exceptional educational opportunities in every classroom, for every student, everyday."
