GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. — A Glynn County mother is aiming to help thousands of students by providing needed supplies to teachers.
Cynthia Wagner started "Clear the List" for Glynn County teachers; many of them, she says, work in districts with funding disparities.
Currently, 119 educators have created an Amazon Wish List with supplies for their classrooms.
Wagner says a lot of people in the community are stepping up and the school district is doing its best. But, with only two weeks left until the school year begins in Glynn County on Aug. 7, there's a desperate need for immediate help to clear the list.
"We really believe that if we can just get a few sponsors or one big great sponsor, that we can wipe out these lists for all of the teachers," Wagner told First Coast News. "And we just hope someone watching wants to get engaged with the community and support educators."
Wagner is encouraging people to check out the lists and purchase whatever you can. The items will be shipped directly to the teacher.
