Update: Student accused of making shooting threat at Fletcher High School detained by police

The Duval County School Police are taking over the investigation, according to the Neptune Beach Police Department.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE: Police have identified and detained the student accused of making the threats. There is no active threat to any students. The Duval County School Police are taking over the investigation, according to the Neptune Beach Police Department.

Fletcher High School is on lockout Tuesday afternoon following reports that a student received an "airdropped message" from a person threatening a shooting, according to a message sent to parents from Duval County Public Schools. 

The Neptune Beach Police Department responded to the incident calling it a "threat investigation," however, police say there is no confirmed information to suggest a threat to students.

Fletcher High School remains under a Code Yellow as a precaution, which means no one is allowed inside or outside of the building. 

DCPS said all kids and staff are safe, and the school is taking necessary steps to ensure their safety.

Parents of San Pablo Elementary School and Fletcher Middle School were also notified of the potential threat.
