JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Ed White High School has been given the "all-clear" after being evacuated due to a bomb threat Thursday morning, according to Duval County Public Schools.
A 911 call shortly before 9 a.m. informed police of the bomb threat, officials said. Students were sent to sit in the bleachers of the stadium.
Duval County School Police and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office were then called to investigate the threat on campus, said a DCPS spokesperson.
"We appreciate the cooperation by all students and faculty as they were calm and orderly, and we also appreciate the patience by parents and caregivers during this situation," said a DCPS spokesperson. "We ask parents to discuss this incident with their child, and take some time to remind them of the roles they share in contributing to the safety of Ed White High School."
