We now know the charges a Duval County Public Schools Lieutenant faces.
Sean MacMaster, 45, faces two counts of criminal sexual contact for alleged contact with someone under the age of thirteen.
The charges come from Michigan and are not connected to the Duval County school system.
Macmaster’s first court appearance which was scheduled for Wednesday was waived.
The announcement of charges has one neighbor in disbelief.
“That’s crazy to think about, it’s kind of nerve-racking, to be honest,” said neighbor Aaron Freitag.
Freitag found himself a little perplexed after he heard what his neighbor was accused of doing.
Freitag told First Coast News his encounters with neighbor Sean Macmaster have always been pleasant.
“Always out there cleaning his yard up, you know cutting grass with his wife, had his son help him out a bit, but every time you’d talk with him, he just seemed like a really nice cool guy,” he said.
A guy that would always ask if Freitag needed anything.
Freitag was in shock to learn the district police lieutenant was arrested Tuesday on a felony warrant.
“You wouldn’t get that impression him if you met him face to face had a conversation with him,” Freitag said.
Macmaster faces two counts of criminal sexual conduct with someone under the age of thirteen.
“It’s crazy to think about that somebody you would meet seemed so cool could just have a background of bad stuff like that,” Freitag said.
Macmaster’s stepfather, Larry Orr, was arraigned on the same charges Wednesday in Michigan.
The accusations are with the same victim. Orr also faces a charge for being a habitual offender for a 2010 incident.
Freitag said he’s noticed an older couple over the house a few nights a week that would always wave to him if they saw him, but he wasn’t sure if that was Orr.
MacMaster remains in jail without bond.
